I have recently taught HTML, Dreamweaver, FrontPage, MS Office, Digital Camera, PhotoShop, Desktop Publishing, and Beginning Computers at the Adult Education level. I've worked for high tech companies in Silicon Valley and a non-profit in Sacramento, as Webmaster, computer trainer and Technical Support specialist. Budgets and funding being what they are, I am always alert for new employment! My goals are threefold:

  • To leverage my teaching and communications skills in the areas of technology and advocacy
  • To increase my involvement in the Web creation/support arena
  • To continually add to my expertise in all Business and Web software applications

I am interested in both free-lance Web creation, training, support or maintenance (see my Need Help page), or a position in any of these areas:
 

IS/Staff Liaison position (I believe there is a real need for a user-friendly technical support person who can work well with school faculty and staff, who is expert at all business software, Microsoft and Adobe, and who can train others or provide tech help on request. If school budgets ever allow it, I would be great at this! (Word)

  • Established training departments and provided all IT training for 2 companies of over 500 employees. Created and maintained training libraries and training web sites. Created all materials and presented on-line training, formal and informal classroom instruction, and one-on-one instruction as required.
  • 10 years experience providing training and help desk support for software applications including all versions of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook); Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, GoLive, Acrobat, Illustrator, PhotoShop);Visio; Project 98; Model 204 (database management system); Web software including HTML, GoLive, FrontPage, Dreamweaver, HomeSite; Netscape and Internet Explorer.
  • Support to Web content providers:  Resolved problems using HTML, Web browsers, HTML editors, or other related Intranet issues.
